On December 11, 2020, at the Convention Center 272, No. 272 Vo Thi Sau Street, Ward 7, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City, Southern Gas Trading Joint Stock Company (Gas South) successfully organized the Employee Conference, summary of production and business activities in 2020 and implementation of plan for 2021.
At the conference, attendees were Mr. Nguyen Van Hung - Chairman of Trade Union of PetroVietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation and 150 delegates representing the Board of Directors, Departments, and units under Gas South to attend.

At the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Luan - General Director of the Company said that in 2020, Gas South faces many difficulties and challenges before the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, natural disasters and floods in the Central region, deep reduction of CP in the world with a large amplitude and sharp reduction of domestic consumption demand due to the social distancing which makes the restaurants and cafes closed, causing many difficulties for sales plan of the units in the Company. However, the Board of Directors of Gas South has drastically implemented and successfully restructured according to market mechanism, streamlined arrangement, ensuring business efficiency, rebuilding the payroll system under output and associated with production and business efficiency to ensure the criteria: the more you do, the more you get in order to encourage increased productivity to ensure stable life and income of staffs and employees.
Entering the year 2021, in general, the economic situation still faces many difficulties and challenges, but the Board of Directors of the Company continues to promote the achieved achievements, ensure security and safety in production and business activities, focus on developing LPG retail market, maintaining and increasing brand identity. Reviewing, reducing costs, focusing on production of cylinders to ensure quality and progress to meet customers’ needs, at the same time looking for new customers at home and abroad to effectively exploit the cylinder manufacturing plant; exploiting and using efficiently the system of warehouses, extraction stations, gas cylinder plants; ensuring a stable source of goods for main sources; completing the LPG business administration model for branches suitable to regional characteristics on the basis of the approved sales and discount policies. For the customers using CNG, it is willing to change to LNG when there is a stable supply.
At the Conference, Mr. Dang Van Vinh - Chairman of the Company’s Trade Union presented a report on the implementation of the Collective labor agreement, internal labor rules, democracy regulations and summary of emulation and commendation in 2020.

Gas South Trade Union has successfully completed its functions and duties in propaganda, grasping the employees’ thought, coordinating with the local government to take care of stable jobs and income for employees, successfully implementing the work of restructuring, arranging personnel, implementing salary regime reform according to work efficiency. Gas South Trade Union has actively organized emulation movements, production, attracting a large number of employees to participate such as innovative movement, green-clean-beautiful movement, movements of occupational safety and health, social security contribution, female employee movement, etc. This is also a tradition in PVGas’s Trade Union in general. The Corporation’s Trade Union recognizes and highly appreciates the efforts and results achieved by Gas South Trade Union’s staffs in 2020
In 2021, we still have to continue to face the double crisis of COVID -19 pandemic, the fluctuation of oil price will directly affect production and business, but he always believed that Gas South and the collective of staffs and employees with highly professional experience and skill and bravery in the marketplace will soon stabilize and continue to develop. Proposing the Executive Committee of the Trade Union to continue to promote the strength of the works done and the consensus with the Board of Directors of the Company to find out solutions to overcome the difficulties and soon stabilize and develop. Continuing to promote the emulation movements towards the target of completing production and business plan: the movement of creative activities, innovative promotion, practice of savings and prevention of wastefulness, improvement of productivity, quality and efficiency of work.
At the end of the conference, Mrs. Phan Thi Ngoc Ha - Chairman of the Board of Directors thanked for the direction and encouragement of the Chairman of Trade Union of PetroVietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation and also regconized the collective efforts of the Board of Management that despite the difficult economic situation and pandemic, they still try their best to overcome the challenges and unanimously find the best methods in business to put the Company into stable operation and development.
