On 28 and 29 July, 2023 at Dong Hoi city, Quang Binh province, Southern Gas Trading Joint Stock Company (hereinafter referred to as “Gas South”) organized a preliminary conference for the first 6 months in 2023 and organizational culture in the digital economy workshop.
The participants of the conference and workshop include the representatives of Administrative Council, Board of Directors, Board of Supervisors and representatives from functional departments, subordinate units and the company’s key personnel.
During his conference’s opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Luy, General Director, would like to emphasize the idea: “Digital transformation is a certain trend that’s about to happen. It's now spreading quickly and broadly every corner. This transformation will help to increase the efficiency in the production, business activities and customer experiences. Moreover, it will bring benefits to enterprises and their shareholders, as well as create a better life for the employees. Gas South's digital transformation journey is really in need of the companionship from our employees’ community. The company’s key personnel will be the core and pioneer to execute the digital transformation schemes and develop the culture of Gas South in the digital age. In addition, through the conference, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thuan expressed his desire that key personnel will update and improve their knowledge so that they can transfer and spread the digital transformation spirit to more than 1,000 employees throughout the Company.
The conference also received the succinct, straightforward and practical opinions from Mr. Vuong Quan Ngoc, speaker from FPT Digital, regarding the digital transformation and organizational culture in this digital age. The contents shared at the conference were highly evaluated by the Company's management and considered essential for Gas South to move forward to the next steps on Digital Transformation Roadmap, as well as to develop the organizational culture in the information age.
Closing the conference, Mr. Dang Van Vinh, CEO, Head of the Digital Transformation Committee requested the company’s key personnel to be serious and determined to successfully implement the digital transformation before 2025; organizing training and disseminating, raising awareness for the employees and creating a digital culture to promote the innovation, mindset renewing and working discipline in the digital environment.
In the framework of the conference’s extra activities, the South Gas delegation paid a visit to the shrine of General Vo Nguyen Giap in Vung Pagoda, Yen Island. In a courteous and solemn atmosphere, the delegation respectfully placed wreaths, offered incense and spent a minute of silence in memory to express the gratitude for General Vo Nguyen Giap’s great dedication.
