In a spirit of pride and solemnity, we come together to mark a truly significant milestone—the 25th anniversary of the establishment and development of Southern Gas Trading Joint Stock Company (Gas South). This is not only an opportunity to reflect on our past journey but also a moment for us to look forward to a brighter and more sustainable future!
Founded in 2000 as the Southern Gas Trading Enterprise under the Gas Processing and Trading Company (PV Gas), Gas South started with a modest capital of just over VND 10 billion, only 16 employees, and an annual LPG output of merely 5,000 tons. Overcoming countless challenges in our early days, Gas South has steadily grown to become one of the leading enterprises in Vietnam’s gas trading industry.
With a mission to provide clean, safe, and high-quality gas products for households, transportation, and industries, Gas South continuously innovates, enhances its competitive capabilities, and expands its market. The company has firmly established itself as the top provider of household LPG in the southern region, supported by an extensive network of storage facilities and LPG filling stations stretching from Ca Mau to Nghe An, as well as the largest LPG cylinder manufacturing and refurbishment plant in Vietnam. This comprehensive supply chain has enabled Gas South to proactively adapt to the ever-changing global economic landscape. For many consecutive years, Gas South's products have been recognized as "Vietnamese High-Quality Goods" by consumers, underscoring the trust and credibility of our brand.
Beyond LPG, since 2009, Gas South has diversified its product portfolio by supplying CNG to industrial and transportation customers. Building on this success, in 2020, we pioneered research and implementation of LNG supply projects. Today, Gas South is among the few enterprises capable of supplying a full range of gas products—LNG, CNG, and LPG—meeting diverse demands across residential, industrial, and transportation sectors.
Furthermore, to optimize costs and enhance business efficiency, Gas South launched a comprehensive digital transformation roadmap in early 2022 in partnership with FPT Digital. This strategy focuses on implementing synchronized digital solutions across all operational levels, aligning with clearly defined goals and timelines. By harmonizing human capabilities with the power of advanced technology, Gas South is not only improving processes and optimizing operations but also fostering a digital corporate culture. This transformation creates new value by developing human resources and digital assets, while also playing a crucial role in achieving our long-term environmental and social sustainability goals.
The transformation of our business model, our ability to adapt flexibly, our strategic development direction, and our effective application of digital technology have all yielded remarkable results. In 2024, Gas South's total assets reached over VND 2,841 billion, with a market capitalization of VND 1,645 billion, LPG sales exceeding 200,000 tons, CNG sales surpassing 146 million Sm³, and total revenue exceeding VND 6,600 billion. These figures not only demonstrate outstanding growth but also provide a solid foundation for Gas South to reach new heights.
Beyond business expansion, Gas South has cultivated a strong corporate culture where responsibility, unity, and innovation serve as guiding principles in all activities. These core values have empowered Gas South to navigate market fluctuations, quickly adapt to economic trends, and solidify its position in the industry.
