To ensure readiness for operation and the commercial supply of LNG to customers as soon as LNG sources become available, on September 6, 2023, Gas South began trial runs and system checks of LNG stations using liquid nitrogen. Through this method, Gas South carried out preliminary cooling of tanks and pipelines; inspected all equipment functions; operated the entire system on a trial basis; and provided training and guidance for the operations team to ensure proper implementation in line with LNG station procedures.

By investing in and owning specialized LNG transport trailers and tanks, Gas South ensures continuous and stable LNG supply to customers while significantly reducing transport costs compared with outsourcing. As a result, LNG prices delivered to customers will be more competitive.

Alongside completing the construction and installation of the remaining LNG supply stations under Phase 1 of the project to serve customers in the Eastern and Southwestern regions, Gas South is actively accelerating investment procedures for Phase 2. This includes expanding the LNG market in the Northern and North Central regions, ensuring progress aligns with the company’s 2025–2030 development strategy, and further affirming its leading role in providing clean energy solutions for customers.
