On the morning of September 13, 2022, at the headquarters of the Petro Vietnam building (1-5 Le Duan, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City) took place the 2022 Voluntary Blood Donation Day, which has a profound human meaning “A drop of blood given - A life to stay.” The program is organized by the Youth Union of Oil and Gas units in Ho Chi Minh City (BIENDONG POC, PETROSETCO, PQPOC, PTSC, PVMR, SWPOC, PVOIL, PVI South, PV Power Project, Gas South) coordinated the organization.
Over the years, Gas South employees have actively participated in voluntary blood donation programs held at Gas South's operating areas across the country. The blood donation movement has contributed to educating the tradition of solidarity and mutual affection, thereby raising the awareness of youth union members and Gas South workers about community activities.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy, an expert of the Gas South General Administration Department, shared: "This is my first time participating in a blood donation festival, so I am very nervous and worried; I have learned and learned that donating blood does not affect health but also saves many people, so I decided to participate.
This activity has received an enthusiastic response from Gas South employees working at the building, with more than 2,450 ml of blood contributing to the blood reserve, which is increasingly depleted due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic 19 in Ho Chi Minh City.
