In order for Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Hygiene (OSH) to be practical, far-reaching, and promote the pioneering role of the working class, Gas South Union guided the affiliated grassroots trade unions to actively implement exciting and effective activities.
Gas South Union officially launched the Worker Month 2022 with the theme "Vietnamese workers: Pioneering, innovative, responsible, safe, adaptive" and the OSH Action Month 2022 with the theme "Strengthening measures to reduce risks in labour safety and hygiene, improving working conditions at the workplace, adapting safely, flexibly to and effectively controlling the COVID-19 pandemic".
In order to effectively implement the month of worker action, the Company has assigned specific tasks to the Departments and Units to implement the set plan, such as: Cleaning and sanitizing at the workplace, hanging banners and slogans. Propaganda signal on occupational safety and Hygiene - Fire and explosion prevention starts from May 1, 2021 to May 31, 2021. Organizing inspection and self-inspection activities on OSH work, consolidating the OSH network, organizing training on procedures, regulations, occupational safety and Hygiene - Fire and explosion prevention for officials and employees, strengthening inspection of status of the equipment’s safe operation. Implement propaganda activities, promote the building of a culture of occupational safety and Hygiene, ensure safety in production and business, and prevent accidents, fires and explosions due to subjective errors.
Gas South Union has also mobilized employees to actively participate in the program "One million initiatives" launched by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. The company has registered 21 initiatives with the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in phase 1 and plans to continue to register at least 21 initiatives with the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in phase 2.
Also on this occasion, Gas South Trade Union launched an online Competition of basic knowledge for safety and hygiene officers organized by the Trade Union of Vietnam Gas Corporation with more than 100 safety and hygiene officers of 7 trade union units. The department participated in the online exam for 5 days and during the implementation process, the Division's Trade Union propagated, guided, encouraged and facilitated the safety and hygiene officers to successfully complete their exams.
In addition, the Trade Union members of Gas South actively participated in sports activities of Vietnam Gas Corporation and its member units, including table tennis, mini football, bowling... and won a number of achievements such as the Bowling Consolation prize, the men's mini football style award at the 2022 PV Gas D Open.
By organizing practical and effective activities in the Workers' Month and the Action Month on OSH in 2022, it will contribute to arousing the tradition of solidarity and creativity, while promoting the pioneering role and sense of responsibility. of the Vietnamese working class in general, and Gas South's staff in particular in ensuring safe, continuous, efficient production and business activities and economic development after the Covid-19 pandemic. Through these activities, it also promotes the leadership's interest in building a growing and modern workforce to meet the general development requirements of the Company.
