The fourth wave of the COVID-19 has spread snd increasingly complicated. Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces have been facing an unprecedented challenge in the fight against this pandemic. With a stronger, faster, more dangerous spread and new variants of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, the number of infections has increased rapidly, despite a series of measures applied by the Government at all levels.
Stopping the source of transmission while not breaking the production chain is an extremely difficult task at this time!
The Cylinder branch of the PV Gas South Joint Stock Company, headquartered in Nhon Trach District, Dong Nai province, is a manufacturer of gas cylinders, an essential item at the moment. The task is at least supplying about 5,000 bottles per day, while Ho Chi Minh City and its neighboring provinces, including Dong Nai province, simultaneously applied the Directive No. 16/CT-TTg dated 31 March 2020 of the Prime Minister until the end of July 2021 and it can be extended further if the situation is still complicated. Along with other additional measures, businesses in Dong Nai province has to choose the options: "3 on the spot"; “1 road 2 locations” or “Stop production”.
Facing such challenges, the Cylinder Branch identifies its core tasks during this time is to realize "its dual goals" - disease prevention, health protection for employees, and maintenance of productive activities. The branch's leaders has decided to implement the "3-on-the-spot" (3T) policy (production on the spot, eating on the spot, resting on the spot). All 160 employees including workers directly involved in production, managers, logistics workers are determined and ready to accept the task and implement immediately upon approval of local agencies and the industrial zone authorities.
At the beginning of the 3T implementation, the workers mostly accepted it, but after that many people wanted to go out and returned to their families. The Branch leadership coordinated with the Trade Union to promptly encourage them and create good conditions so that each employee can feel like "The factory is a safe place" and feel secure to continue working. At the same time, the Branch took good care on arranging resting places for employees in accommodation, meeting room, office room, maintaining nutritious meals, organizing sports tournaments such as volleyball, badminton, chess ... It is not only a way to help employees improve their physical strength but also help them to relieve stress during this challenging period.
Although the situation of the COVID-19 pandemic has been extremely complicated and has greatly affected the lives of the Branch's employees, all of them have always tried their best to ensure safe production and create products with great quality. That is the spirit: “FACING Obstacles WITHOUT TAKING STEPS BACK” of all employees of the Cylinder Branch.
After nearly a month of implementing the 3T policy, the entire branch staff has become a united family. “Distance” prevents the spread of the disease, but it cannot prevent the colleague connection and unity towards the common goal of safety and development. Above all, optimism is the positive energy that all employees want to spread to each other with the belief of a new normal life.
The most difficult time is also when the Branch finds its workplace connection and unity to lighten up its employees, with a great belief that the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic will definitely be won.
