The leadership of PV Gas has established a dedicated IT Center and boldly initiated projects aimed at rapidly applying IT solutions across almost all operational stages and processes throughout the company.
PV Gas has successfully implemented the E-Office solution within its Document Management software, which has been in use for more than 2 years, to create timely, transparent communication channels from top management to individual employees, ensuring maximum efficiency in administrative operations.
All data and parameters related to offshore platforms, plants, and gas distribution stations are monitored and tracked at control rooms and gas operation centers via control software and SCADA systems (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition).
Moreover, maintenance activities at PV Gas have been computerized through the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System). The company-wide WAN (Wide Area Network) connects PV Gas’s management offices with all subsidiary companies at nine locations across Ho Chi Minh City, Ba Ria – Vung Tau, and Ca Mau.
The WAN is designed based on availability, safety, and high security standards, serving as a solid foundation for IT applications, centralized management, and the development of IT policies across the Corporation.
In addition, most PV Gas employees are equipped with computers and can access general corporate information, staff directories, forms, templates, documents, and even meeting room bookings through the internal intranet system.
Employees enjoy stable, high-speed, and secure internet access via dedicated firewalls, and PV Gas has also operated its corporate website since 2007.
Customers and partners can search for information about PV Gas, as well as submit inquiries and feedback via the website, establishing it as an official information channel representing PV Gas’s brand to the community.
Understanding the value of information and mobile work trends, PV Gas leaders and employees can access and connect to the company’s main systems from anywhere with internet access, providing flexibility for business trips while still utilizing central data resources.
In 2009, PV Gas introduced video conferencing systems, a new and convenient form of communication, allowing leadership and staff at different locations (Ho Chi Minh City, Vung Tau, Ca Mau) to participate in meetings without travel time or expenses, thus improving operational efficiency in production and business management.
Looking ahead to 2012, PV Gas planned to build and enhance a complete suite of application software, aiming to optimize resources, centralize management, and strengthen operational efficiency throughout the Corporation.
