On October 2, 2020, PetroVietnam Southern Gas Joint Stock Company (Gas South) organized a conference on enhancing product quality at Vinpearl Hotel Can Tho.
The purpose of the event was to assess the current condition of LPG cylinders and bottled LPG products, thereby seeking comprehensive solutions to improve product quality and strengthen the reputation and brand of Gas South.
The conference was attended by 87 participants, including representatives of the Board of Directors, the Executive Board, leaders of subsidiaries, and a large number of experienced staff and employees.
The conference opened with a keynote speech delivered by Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Luan – General Director of the Company, who emphasized the objectives of the event and outlined the Company’s development direction in the coming period.

The first presentation was delivered by the Sales Department, focusing on research to establish standard ratios for LPG composition in Gas South’s cylinder products. Based on consumer demand and the Company’s aspiration to supply the market with high-quality and consistent products at efficient and reasonable prices, the Sales Department conducted a study on LPG quality, evaluating and proposing Gas South’s standard ratio for various sources. This included the percentage ratio of C3:C4, minimum content of C2 and C5+, olefin content, among other factors.

Next, the Technical – Safety Department reported on the current state of cylinder classification, cleaning, as well as issues related to scratches and peeling paint on cylinder surfaces at filling stations. These are also key issues of concern for the Company’s leadership, requiring prompt solutions.

Based on the feedback, the Technical – Safety Department took note of suggestions to improve cylinder cleaning systems, minimize impact and friction that damage the paint layer during refilling, handling, and transportation. Improvements made by branches included the use of roller conveyor systems, enhanced cylinder cleaning systems, and handheld grinders to remove adhesive residue.
In addition, the Cylinder Branch proposed solutions on cylinder management and paint standards to improve adhesion, impact resistance, and corrosion protection.
The conference concluded successfully with valuable contributions from the branches and member companies, providing directions to overcome existing shortcomings and further enhance product quality.
