“At the same time, 50 pilot buses using CNG will be imported to Ho Chi Minh City,” said Mr. Nguyen Si Thang, Chairman of the Board of Petro Vietnam Gas South (PV Gas South), at the seminar “CNG–NGV: A Green Path for Vietnam” held on April 6.
Information provided at the seminar indicated that Petro Vietnam will invest over USD 250 million to build 360 compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling stations to meet the demand for converting buses from diesel to this new fuel type in Vietnam. Many studies show that using CNG is more than 50% more economical than gasoline or diesel.
