With the approval of the Party Committee and the Company’s Board of Directors, the Executive Committee (BTV) of the Southern Gas Youth Union organized the 2019 Youth Union Professional Training Conference at Mỹ Khánh Tourist Area, Phong Điền District, Cần Thơ City.
The event was attended by Mr. Nguyễn Ngọc Luận – former Secretary of the PV Gas Youth Union and current Director of Southern Gas Company; Ms. Lê Thị Tám – Chief of the Party Committee Office and Vice Chairwoman of the Company’s Trade Union; along with members of the Party Committee, the Board of Directors, former Youth Union officials from previous terms, and 50 youth members of Southern Gas.
During this year’s conference, the Southern Gas Youth Union held a seminar titled “The Role of Youth Union Members in Implementing and Building Corporate Culture.”
Mr. Trần Văn Huỳnh Long, Secretary of the Company’s Youth Union, emphasized that the seminar provided an opportunity for PVGas South’s young generation to express the beauty of corporate culture through intelligence, creativity, and enthusiasm. He also affirmed the importance of youth members in promoting and embodying corporate culture while demonstrating their pioneering and volunteer spirit, contributing to aligning Youth Union activities with the Company’s overall development goals.
At the seminar, delegates actively discussed and contributed ideas on key topics such as the roles and responsibilities of the Youth Union and its members in promoting and implementing corporate culture at their units, and proposed solutions for the coming period. Through the discussion, youth members gained a deeper understanding of the values of corporate culture, helping them to internalize and naturally practice these values in their daily work and interactions.
As part of the event, the organizing committee also announced the results of the Video Clip Contest on “Guidelines for Practicing Corporate Conduct Culture.” All videos were produced by the Company’s Youth Union branches, featuring employees and youth members as participants. The results were as follows: Second Prize – Head Office Youth Branch (no First Prize awarded); Third Prize – VTGas Branch and Western Region Branch; and two Consolation Prizes – Bình Khí Branch and Eastern Region Branch.
In his remarks at the training conference and seminar, Mr. Nguyễn Ngọc Luận, Director of Southern Gas, highly appreciated the contributions and discussions of youth members regarding the development and implementation of corporate culture. He encouraged the Youth Union Executive Committee and all youth members to continue learning, propose specific solutions, and actively participate in building and fostering the Company’s corporate culture at every level.
On the same day, the Youth Union Executive Committee organized two Teambuilding programs (physical and large-scale activities) at Mỹ Khánh Tourist Village with various challenges aimed at improving health, practicing life skills, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities—thereby strengthening unity, collaboration, and solidarity among all participants. Following the focused and practical training sessions, a Gala Dinner and campfire night were held to create a fun and engaging environment, strengthening connections among youth members and motivating them to work enthusiastically toward achieving the Company’s 2019 business objectives.
In conjunction with the conference, the “Spring of Love 2020” community program was held on the morning of November 24, 2019, in Phú Quới Commune, Long Hồ District, Vĩnh Long Province. Upholding the tradition of “The good leaves protect the torn ones” and demonstrating social responsibility and compassion, the Company’s Youth Union presented 100 gift packages—including cash and essential items—to policy beneficiary families, disadvantaged households, and underprivileged students with outstanding academic achievements. The program aimed to bring warmth and happiness to local residents as they prepared for the Lunar New Year.
The 2019 Youth Union Professional Training Conference and Spring of Love 2020 program concluded successfully, leaving many memorable impressions on Southern Gas youth members and local residents. Through these meaningful activities, the Company’s Youth Union Executive Committee hopes to inspire all members to continue dedicating their youth, passion, and creativity to the Company’s sustainable development.
