Continuing its 2019 social welfare and community support activities, and upholding the tradition of “the good leaves protect the worn-out ones”, PV Gas South organized the “Nurturing Dreams 2019” program. This initiative was led by the company’s Trade Union and Youth Union, with the aim of extending care and sharing with disadvantaged ethnic minority communities in remote areas.
The program was carefully prepared over two months, including field surveys and activity planning. Particularly meaningful was the “Sharing Booth” with the message “Those with surplus can give, those in need may take”, which received enthusiastic contributions from the company’s leadership, employees, and union members.
On June 29–30, 2019, the “Nurturing Dreams” program took place successfully in Dong Me Hamlet (Duc Thuan Commune) and La Ngau Commune, in Tan Linh District, Binh Thuan Province – home to K’ho, Rain, Raglay, and Chauro ethnic minorities. The local community includes over 600 households, of which more than 230 live under the poverty line, relying mainly on day labor, forest gathering, or state support.
Key activities of the program included: presenting a Compassion House to a needy family in Dong Me Hamlet; donating a water filtration system to Hoa Mai Kindergarten; offering 20 gift packages to policy-beneficiary families; giving 10 bicycles to outstanding but disadvantaged students; and awarding 200 scholarships with schoolbags and supplies to students of La Ngau Primary and Secondary School. In addition, the program hosted a Children’s Festival with folk games, team-building activities, and a cultural performance night. All efforts carried the hope of easing hardships and bringing encouragement to the local community.
Alongside community support, the organizing committee also introduced PV Gas South’s business products at a display booth, which attracted strong interest from local residents.
The program left unforgettable impressions: the sleepy eyes after early morning travel, the sweat from carrying gifts, and above all, the bright smiles of children. “To give is also to receive – life becomes more meaningful when we know how to share and to love”. This was the heartfelt message that PV Gas South’s leadership wished to convey to all employees through this journey of compassion.
