On the occasion of the Lunar New Year, on January 24, 2019, the Trade Union of PV Gas South organized a charity program to visit and give gifts to the elderly without family and orphaned children at Diệu Pháp Pagoda, Đồng Nai Province.

Diệu Pháp Pagoda – A shelter for the unfortunate
For more than 30 years, the Diệu Pháp orphanage, located in Tân Cang Hamlet, Phước Tân Commune, Long Thành District, Đồng Nai Province, has been a loving home for many unfortunate lives, especially children who were abandoned at birth. Some of these children were born with disabilities such as blindness or deaf-muteness. Nevertheless, the pagoda took them in and tried every means to treat and care for them. The nuns also made efforts to teach the children, enabling them to attend school like other children their age.

After nearly 30 years of nurturing and caring for the unfortunate, the pagoda has helped over 500 lives achieve stable living conditions. Some of them have graduated from university, are pursuing master’s or doctoral degrees, or are working across the country. Occasionally, on weekends or during holidays, they return to visit the pagoda and continue supporting the nuns in caring for others in similar circumstances.
PVGas South shares and contributes a small portion to bring Lunar New Year to Diệu Pháp Pagoda
With the spirit of encouragement and sharing the hardships of the nuns who bear the heavy responsibility of caring for orphaned children and the elderly, the Trade Union of PV Gas South donated essential items such as cakes, candies, milk, rice, along with a small financial contribution to help maintain the daily activities of the orphanage during the upcoming Lunar New Year.

At the end of the program, the PVGas South charity team hopes that Diệu Pháp Pagoda will always remain a warm home filled with love and care for children and elderly without family support. PVGas South also wishes that the residents there will have a new life full of warmth, happiness, and peace.
After the visit, a nun representing Diệu Pháp Pagoda, Đồng Nai sincerely thanked the Board of Directors and the entire PVGas South team for their care, encouragement, and support for the children and elderly, and expressed hope that PVGas South would continue to care for and share with Diệu Pháp Pagoda in the years to come.
