As part of the 2019 Youth Month activities organized by the Youth Union of PV Gas South, the company carried out the program “For Community Life and Social Welfare” in localities where its business operations take place.
During the survey in Binh Phuoc Province for the “Clean Water for Schools” program, Bu Dop District left the deepest concern. This border district, adjacent to Cambodia, still faces many difficulties. Most of its population consists of ethnic minorities living under deprived conditions, especially the lack of clean water. Local students must bring drinking water from home to school, which is often untreated and unsafe, posing risks of diseases.
Moreover, Bu Dop frequently suffers from water shortages, both for daily use and for agricultural production during the dry season. Therefore, equipping schools with clean water filtration systems not only eases the burden for students but also ensures access to safe water, contributing to improved living and learning conditions.
With the spirit of volunteerism for the community, on March 29, 2019, the Youth Union of PV Gas South, in cooperation with Binh Phuoc Provincial Youth Union, handed over and inaugurated three water filtration systems, each worth 25 million VND, to Thanh Hoa Primary School, Thien Hung C Primary School, and Tan Thanh B Primary School in the border district of Bu Dop. This contribution is expected to provide children with better living and learning conditions, enabling them to pursue their dreams and, in the future, contribute to building their homeland and the nation.
