Ly Son Island, Quang Ngai Province, located 15 nautical miles from the mainland, with an area of approximately 10 km² and a total coastline of over 25 km, is famous for its beautiful landscapes, pristine nature, and tourism and economic potential. Ly Son is also well-known for the resilient and steadfast spirit of its fishermen. The islanders’ love for the sea has played a significant role in affirming Vietnam’s maritime sovereignty over many centuries.
From May 11-13, 2017, PV Gas South Central participated in the program “Coast Guard Accompanies Fishermen”, organized by Naval Region 2 Command on Ly Son Island, Quang Ngai Province. The program aimed to support and encourage fishermen to stay at sea, contributing to the protection of national maritime sovereignty.

During this support program, PV Gas South Central presented free Petrovietnam Gas cylinders to fishermen facing difficult circumstances on Ly Son Island. Upon receiving the gifts from the representatives of PV Gas South Central, the fishermen were extremely delighted, grateful, and deeply appreciative of the Company’s care and support from the mainland, which gave them confidence and peace of mind while staying at sea.
Petrovietnam Gas cylinders have long been chosen by fishermen nationwide, especially those from Ly Son, as an indispensable companion on fishing trips, making this a practical gift supporting their daily livelihood.
