This is a professional international sports event in Vietnam with the participation of 13,000 athletes from both domestic and international communities, who registered to challenge themselves. It was also an opportunity for Vietnam to promote its image and people to the world.
Not only increasing in the number of athletes, the 2019 season also welcomed more than 70 teams participating in the Corporate Challenge, including PV Gas South. This group activity helped enhance teamwork spirit as employees, managers, and colleagues joined together in running events. On one hand, they challenged themselves by participating; on the other, each employee acted as a brand ambassador for the Company, promoting its products through the event uniforms to both local and international audiences.
With 31 athletes, 7 participated in the 21 km half marathon and 24 in the 10 km race. All employees successfully completed the race within the required timeframe set by the organizers. In addition, for every kilometer completed within the allotted time, the organizers contributed VND 10,000 to charitable activities and programs supporting young talents in the city.
Through the event, employees not only strengthened their bonds and adopted a healthier lifestyle, but also affirmed the spirit of sports training, health improvement, and the promotion of positive living within the community. This further contributed to greater goals in dedication and fulfillment of the Company’s production and business tasks.
With the objective of building stronger connections and improving teamwork in the workplace, and more importantly, conquering goals for a healthier life while lifting the Corporate Challenge victory trophy, the Company’s Trade Union Executive Committee and Youth Union will continue to advise and propose that the Board of Directors create opportunities for employees to participate in upcoming marathon events. This will foster a healthy playground, enhance solidarity, and promote the Company’s image and products.
