Attending the launching ceremony were comrades: Đinh La Thăng, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of Directors; comrade Nguyễn Thị Thu Hồng; Nguyễn Văn Ngàng, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; leaders of the Group, leaders of affiliated units, Trade Union chairpersons at all levels, along with a large number of officials, staff, and employees from across the petroleum sector.
Comrade Hà Duy Dĩnh, Chairman of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Trade Union, stated: Over the past 34 years, the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group has affirmed its position as one of the nation’s leading economic groups and has been honored with the title of Heroic Unit in the Renovation period. The petroleum sector is not only strong economically but also possesses significant spiritual strength – that is, petroleum culture and corporate culture. This is demonstrated through each person’s behavior, their love for the industry, their patriotism, and their compassion toward fellow citizens.
During the second Petroleum Cultural Week, many emulation movements and gratitude activities were launched, calling on all officials, staff, and employees to actively participate and fully implement them, thereby reflecting the spirit and responsibility of petroleum workers and petroleum culture.
Trade Union leaders at all levels were requested to provide effective direction to ensure that the movement becomes widespread and a distinctive feature of the petroleum sector and petroleum workers. With that spirit, the Chairman of the Oil and Gas Trade Union led the resounding slogan: “Petroleum Cultural Week: Excelling at Work – Staying Healthy – United” which received enthusiastic response from the large number of officials, staff, and employees present at Cầu Giấy Gymnasium.
On behalf of the leadership of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group, comrade Đinh La Thăng affirmed the meaningful significance of the Petroleum Cultural Week. The success of the first Petroleum Cultural Week was a positive beginning, creating a foundation for this year and for the years to come, for the week to become an annual activity of the sector.
After the opening statement, he emphasized to all petroleum officials, staff, and employees the need to promote the traditions of previous generations, successfully fulfill the targets registered with grassroots trade unions, step by step accomplish the assigned political tasks, while linking them with activities commemorating the 40th anniversary of implementing President Hồ Chí Minh’s Testament.
On behalf of the petroleum trade union members, Ms. Nguyễn Thị Bích Hạnh, representing more than 32,000 petroleum trade unionists, made a pledge before the Group’s leadership: As a trade union member, she will actively participate in and successfully carry out the emulation movements launched by the Vietnam Oil and Gas Trade Union; as a youth union member, she will be pioneering and take the lead in all assigned tasks; as a citizen, she promised to devote all her efforts to building the petroleum sector and contributing to a prosperous nation.
Following the ceremony, outstanding singing and dancing performances by petroleum officials, staff, and employees created an atmosphere of excitement, motivating them to enthusiastically engage in the emulation movements throughout this meaningful Cultural Week.
