Attending the Anniversary Ceremony were Lieutenant General Tran Dai Quang – member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security, representatives of the Party and State leaders, ministries, central and local agencies, the Ministry of Industry and Trade... From PetroVietnam (PVN), there were leaders: Mr. Dinh La Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Party Secretary – Chairman of the Member Council of PetroVietnam (PVN), and other Vice Presidents of PVN; Mr. Le Minh Hong, Vice President of PVN, Chairman of the Member Council of PV Gas; representatives of PVN’s Departments and partner units. Also attending were former top leaders of Vietnam Oil and Gas Corporation (predecessor of PVN), close partners of PV Gas, press and television agencies. From PV Gas, there were the Member Council, the Board of Management, former leaders of PV Gas over the years, leaders of departments, subsidiaries and affiliates, representatives of senior staff and outstanding employees representing over 2,000 employees of PV Gas.
During the Ceremony, the company was honored to receive the Third-Class Independence Order, the Medal “For the Cause of Vietnam Oil and Gas Industry,” the Commemorative Symbol of 20 years “For the Cause of PV Gas” for outstanding individuals who contributed significantly to the achievements of the company, and the Prime Minister’s Certificate of Merit awarded to PVID Company, a subsidiary of PV Gas.
Speaking at the Ceremony, Mr. Do Khang Ninh, Party Secretary – General Director of PV Gas, affirmed the contributions of many generations of PV Gas workers who overcame difficulties, devoted themselves to their profession, accumulated experience, and creatively integrated with the region and the world to build the reputation and career of the Gas Industry. On behalf of PV Gas, Mr. Do Khang Ninh expressed gratitude for the wise guidance of the Party and State, the support of the people, and sincerely acknowledged the direction and assistance of central ministries, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, PetroVietnam, local authorities, partners, industry units, social organizations, and the media. He especially thanked former leaders of PV Gas over the years, who together helped PV Gas gradually establish a firm standing for the PetroVietnam Gas brand, a brand “Wholeheartedly serving the Nation and the People.” With such dedication and aspirations, PV Gas is determined to strive for the benefit of the country, the Group, and its employees.
On behalf of PetroVietnam, Mr. Dinh La Thang congratulated PV Gas on its 20th anniversary, recognizing the efforts and determination of the company, daring to think, daring to act, daring to take responsibility, and always united in successfully achieving all assigned goals. He highlighted PV Gas’s significant contributions to PetroVietnam’s development and the country’s industrialization and modernization. Up to now, PV Gas has established a relatively complete Gas Industry in Vietnam, from collection – transportation – processing – storage – trading – services – to gas import; is operating the pipeline systems in the Southeast and Southwest safely and effectively; the PV Gas brand has gained strong recognition among domestic consumers and business partners, and is gradually expanding abroad. PV Gas’s staff is becoming increasingly professional, enthusiastic, and determined in management and mastering technology to fulfill their assigned tasks.
Mr. Dinh La Thang also expressed confidence that PV Gas will successfully realize its strategic development goals for 2015 and orientations to 2025 approved by PetroVietnam, namely: “To develop PV Gas into a strong, safe, high-quality, efficient, and modern corporation; to operate comprehensively in all stages: collection – transportation – processing – storage – trading – services – import and export; to diversify operations; to play a leading role in the national Gas Industry, expand to international markets, and become one of Asia’s strong Gas Corporations; with an average annual growth rate of 15%.”
The Anniversary Ceremony, titled “PV Gas – Forever the Flame of Faith,” conveyed a consistent theme of the Gas Industry flame passed down through generations of workers, symbolizing trust and determination to unite and develop Vietnam’s Gas Industry.
The Ceremony included a historical film on PV Gas’s 20-year development, interspersed with an art program celebrating Vietnam’s Oil and Gas Industry and its workers, featuring songs such as The March of Those Who Seek Fire (composer: Hoang Long), PV Gas – The Flame of Love (composer: Ngoc Loi), The Flame of Prosperity (composer: Huy Tuan), Shining at the End of the Sky (composer: Xuan Cuu), Spring from Oil Wells (composer: Pham Minh Tuan)… The celebration also featured performances by PV Gas employees who had recently won awards at the PV Gas Folk Art Festival 2010.
PV Gas, PSCC Company, Anh Minh Advertising Co., Ltd., and especially director Binh Hung made great efforts to create a coherent program honoring the contributions of the Gas Industry to the country, with creative innovations in stage art, the combination of music, dance, sound, and lighting, bringing joy and pride to the audience.
The Anniversary Ceremony was also an occasion for meeting, exchanging experiences, and encouraging the spirit of emulation among colleagues in the Oil and Gas Industry, meaningfully celebrating the 35th anniversary of the industry’s establishment and towards the 1,000th anniversary of Thang Long – Ha Noi.
