Signing Ceremony for the Cooperation Project on Developing the LPG Distribution Management System
Attending the ceremony on behalf of PV GAS were Mr. Phan Quoc Nghia (Member of the Board of Directors of PV GAS) and Mr. Pham Dang Nam (Deputy General Director of PV GAS). Representing PV GAS SOUTH were Mr. Do Tan (Chairman of the Board of Directors of PV GAS SOUTH) and Mr. Nguyen Hai Long (Deputy Director of PV GAS SOUTH). From the partner side were Mr. Eiji Hiraoka (Senior Executive Director of JCCP), Mr. Hironori Hagio (President of HAGIO Co., Ltd.), along with representatives from relevant departments of PV GAS and PV GAS SOUTH.
Since 2017, under PV GAS’s Retail LPG Market Development Strategy for the period 2016–2020, aimed at expanding the retail network and distribution channels to increase retail LPG sales volume and business efficiency for the Corporation and its subsidiaries, PV GAS and PV GAS SOUTH have worked with JCCP and HAGIO Co., Ltd. to study the feasibility of applying an LPG Cylinder Tracking System—a system that monitors LPG consumption directly via sensors attached to LPG cylinders, serving the retail distribution sector.
This tracking system records the amount of LPG used by customers and transmits the data via SMS to the central distribution system, which then coordinates product dispatch and delivery.
The system, widely applied in Japan, helps optimize logistics, reduce operational costs, and ensure timely LPG supply to end-users. Importantly, with this modern application, customer service can be handled more attentively, while minimizing labor costs across supply and after-sales stages, ensuring gas quality, usage safety, and consistent delivery of high-standard branded LPG cylinders.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Phan Quoc Nghia (Member of PV GAS Board of Directors) highly appreciated the cooperation project, expressing hope that upon completion, it would contribute to modernizing sales operations, increasing competitiveness, and improving customer service quality in the LPG business sector.
