PVGAS SOUTH 2016 SPORTS FESTIVAL

On March 18–19, 2016, in Nha Trang City, the Youth Union of PVGas South organized the 2016 PVGas South Traditional Sports Festival.

Amid the vibrant atmosphere of youth nationwide, the young members of PVGas South enthusiastically competed to celebrate the 86th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 – February 3, 2016), the 85th anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 – March 26, 2016), and the 16th anniversary of the establishment of the Southern Gas Trading Joint Stock Company (March 28, 2000 – March 28, 2016).

The festival is an annual highlight, reinforcing the growth of sports activities within the company. It encourages employees and youth union members to maintain physical fitness, provides a platform for social interaction and learning, and motivates the workforce to strive for excellence in production and business activities in 2016.

This year’s festival featured nine teams: the Executive Block Youth Union, CNG Vietnam Youth Union, Eastern Youth Union, VTGas Youth Union, Dong Nai Youth Union, Can Tho Youth Union, Central Youth Union, Nha Trang team, and Dak Lak team, with more than 100 non-professional athletes competing in men’s football.

After two days of exciting matches, the 2016 PVGas South Sports Festival concluded successfully. Teams delivered thrilling matches, with results often decided in the final moments by spectacular goals. The closing and awards ceremony was held in Nha Trang in a lively and joyful atmosphere. The results are as follows:

First Place: Dong Nai Youth Union
Second Place: Eastern Youth Union
Third Place (tie): CNG Youth Union, Can Tho Youth Union
Top Scorer: Trần Văn Nghinh (11 goals) – Dong Nai Youth Union
Best Goalkeeper: Lê Xuân Phụng – Dong Nai Youth Union

The 2016 PVGas South Sports Festival successfully brought out a range of emotions and enthusiasm. The Standing Committee of PVGas South Youth Union wishes all members and employees good health, successful work, and outstanding achievements in production and business in 2016. We officially close the 2016 festival and look forward to welcoming everyone to the 2017 Sports Festival.
