On the evening of March 30, 2018, at the Youth Cultural House Auditorium, 04 Pham Ngoc Thach, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, the Company’s Trade Union and Youth Union successfully organized the Employee Art Performance Festival to celebrate the 18th anniversary of the establishment of PV Gas South (PetroVietnam Gas South).
Attending the opening ceremony of the festival were Mr. Nguyen Dang Hieu – Vice Chairman of the Trade Union of PetroVietnam Gas Corporation, together with members of the Executive Committee of the Corporation’s Trade Union and Youth Union. On the Company’s side, Mr. Do Tan – Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors, attended along with members of the Party Committee, the Board of Directors, the Company’s Leadership, and representatives of departments and subsidiaries.
This year’s festival brought together more than 100 performers from 8 subsidiaries of PV Gas South. The teams participated with many unique performances, well-prepared programs, and a variety of genres including solo, duet/trio, choir with dance, dance, and drama. The performances revolved around themes praising the homeland, the youth, the profession, reflecting the daily life and work of PV Gas South employees, as well as the 18-year tradition of building PV Gas South.
In his opening speech, Mr. Hoang Minh Tuan – Chairman of the Company’s Trade Union emphasized: This meaningful activity celebrates the 18th anniversary of the Company and also serves as a foundation for the upcoming 20th anniversary in 2020. The festival was organized to enrich the cultural and spiritual life of employees, strengthen exchanges and learning between units, create a useful playground for staff, and promote emulation in work and production to fulfill the Company’s 2018 mission and future goals.
With nearly 30 performances carefully prepared – from lyrics, melodies, staging, costumes, arrangements to performance styles – all units enthusiastically showcased their talents. The performances were elaborate, diverse in form and content, creative, and highly artistic. They reflected the wholehearted effort and dedication of employees in celebrating the 18th anniversary of PV Gas South.
At the end of the festival, based on fair evaluation by the judging panel consisting of Musician Le Huy Truc, Meritorious Artist – dancer Kim Luyen, and Guitarist Le Bao Long, the Best Overall Program award went to the Eastern Branch with the theme “Vietnamese Identity”. The Second Prize was awarded to the Central Branch with “The Vitality of the Central Highlands”, and the Third Prize went to VTGas Branch with “The Youth of VTGas”. Two Consolation Prizes were awarded to the Western Branch with “Beloved Fatherland” and Binh Gas Branch with “Youth Dedicated to the Party”. In addition, the Organizing Committee presented awards in categories such as Solo, Duet/Trio, Choir with Dance, and Dance/Drama to all participating units to encourage and recognize their efforts.
After 18 years of establishment and development with many challenges, PV Gas South has achieved significant results thanks to the solidarity of its employees and the trust of its customers. The Company continues its journey towards becoming a strong enterprise in terms of brand, finance, human resources, and management technology – ready for integration while maintaining its strong brand within the Group and in Vietnam.
