From July 26 to July 29, 2019, the Veterans Association of PV Gas South undertook a meaningful “homeland journey” to several provinces in Central Vietnam. The delegation visited and offered incense at historic revolutionary landmarks such as the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel, Truong Son National Martyrs’ Cemetery, the tomb of General Vo Nguyen Giap, the Dong Loc T-junction Youth Volunteer Cemetery, the memorial site of the 10 heroic young female volunteers at Dong Loc, the tomb of former General Secretary Tran Phu, the grave of Madam Hoang Thi Loan – mother of beloved President Ho Chi Minh, and visited both the maternal and paternal homelands of Uncle Ho.
The journey of the PV Gas South Veterans Association was held on the occasion of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27), bringing profound emotions to more than 30 members of the delegation. Throughout the trip, they revisited memories and honored the glorious wartime struggles of the nation, which reignited in each member a sense of national pride. It also inspired a deeper sense of responsibility in their work, motivating them to dedicate their strength and wisdom to the cause of building and safeguarding the Fatherland — living up to the proud traditions of the nation and the heroic sacrifices of previous generations.
