Together with more than 220,000 tons of gas from the Dinh Cố Gas Processing Plant (Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province), domestic gas sources will meet over 60% of the domestic market demand. The year 2010 will mark the first time Vietnam’s gas market becomes less dependent on foreign imports.
Before 2008, Vietnam imported about 500,000 tons of gas annually, while national demand exceeded 800,000 tons.
