The Trade Union and the Youth Union of the PV Gas South Joint Stock Company organized the Gas South Football Tournament 2021 with the goals of to improving health, encouraging its employees to do exercises, play sports and increasing the connection at the workplace.
On 26 - 27 March, 2021, at Thanh Nam football field in the beautiful coastal city of Vung Tau, The Trade Union and the Youth Union of the PV Gas South Joint Stock Company organized the Gas South Football Tournament 2021. This year's tournament had the participation of 7 teams, representing 7 units from the sunny and windy Central Region to the charming West Region, the teams are divided into 2 groups. Group A included the following teams: Executive Division, Central Branch and VT GAS. Group B included Dong Nai Branch, Cylinder Branch, Western Branch and South Central Branch. The tournament brought together more than 70 amateur players.
After 02 days of an exciting competition, the Gas South football tournament 2021 was successful with 13 matches. The final match took place between the Central Branch team and VT GAS team. After two halves, VT GAS Company won overwhelmingly with the score 7-2 and was crowned this year’s champion. All teams contributed greatly to this year's tournament with good matches and beautiful goals. Specific results are as follows:
a) Champion: VT GAS Team
b) First runner-up: Central Team
c) Second runner-up: Dong Nai Branch
d) Third runner-up: Cylinder Branch
e) Top scorer: Tran Tuan Anh - VT GAS, total goals: 17 - tournament’s record.
Especially, this season had one Super Cup match between Team 1 - the Company’s BOD and Team 2 - Leaders of the member companies and affiliated branches. The match was very thrilling in the sweltering heat of Vung Tau City. Both teams brought their best on the field with accurate passing and extremely professional playing style. After 40 minutes of the official match, the result was a draw of 2-2 and the two teams had to enter the penalty shoot-out with a great reliance on luck. With the great capacity of being under pressure, Team 1 – the BOD won with the score of 5-4.

This year’s Gas South football tournament 2021 was a great success bringing many emotions to the Company’s employees. The Trade Union, the Youth Union of the Company wished all members and employees of the Company good health, great performance in production and business tasks in 2021. This year’s tournament ended with great success and we looked forward to the 2022 tournament.
