On November 18, 2016, at 272 Conference Center, 272 Vo Thi Sau Street, District 3, HCMC, the Youth Union of PV Gas South successfully organized the model congress – the Congress of the Youth Union of PV Gas South for the 2017–2022 tenure, marking the beginning of a series of Youth Union congresses under PV Gas Youth Union, towards the 6th PV Gas Youth Union Congress for the 2017–2022 tenure.
PV Gas South Youth Union was honored to welcome Mr. Nguyen Cong Luan – Standing Committee Member of PetroVietnam Youth Union, Secretary of PV Gas Youth Union; Mr. Huynh Do Thanh Khiet – Standing Committee Member, Chairman of the Inspection Committee of PV Gas Youth Union, together with Secretaries, Deputy Secretaries, Standing Committee Members, and Executive Committee Members of Youth Union units under PV Gas Youth Union. The Congress also welcomed Mr. Do Tan – Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the BOD of the Company, along with leaders representing the Party Committee, Board of Management, Trade Union, and 84 delegates representing 392 members from 8 grassroots Youth Union branches.
At the Congress, Mr. Dinh Dang Vu – Secretary of PV Gas South Youth Union – presented the review report of the Youth Union’s activities and youth movements during the 2012–2017 tenure, as well as the orientation and targets for the 2017–2022 tenure. The report showed that PV Gas South Youth Union excellently fulfilled its assigned tasks, with many outstanding achievements, making significant contributions to the Company’s business activities through technical innovation initiatives and youth projects. The orientation for the new tenure reflected the determination of PV Gas South Youth Union, worthy of being the right hand of the Party, and the pioneering force of the Company in business activities.
The Congress also heard the self-assessment report of the 2012–2017 Executive Committee, presented by Mr. Huynh Lam Kiet – Deputy Secretary of PV Gas South Youth Union, identifying limitations to be addressed and strengths to be promoted in the new tenure. The Congress also received directives from Mr. Nguyen Cong Luan – Secretary of PV Gas Youth Union, and Mr. Do Tan – Secretary of the Company’s Party Committee, regarding Party admission for outstanding Youth Union members, youth projects and tasks linked with the Company’s business operations in the new tenure.
The Congress elected the new Executive Committee consisting of 15 members to lead PV Gas South Youth Union in successfully accomplishing the targets set forth. On behalf of the new Executive Committee, Mr. Tran Van Huynh Long pledged to work with the Committee to fulfill the tasks and objectives, maintaining the status of PV Gas South Youth Union as an outstanding grassroots unit in Youth Union activities and movements. Immediately after the official session, the first Executive Committee meeting was held to elect the Standing Committee, Deputy Secretary, and Secretary in accordance with the Youth Union Charter, under the witness of PV Gas Youth Union and the Company’s Party Committee. At the end of the meeting, Mr. Tran Van Huynh Long was trusted to hold the position of Secretary of PV Gas South Youth Union for the 2017–2022 tenure.
After more than 5 hours of serious working, on behalf of PV Gas South Youth Union, Mr. Dinh Dang Vu – Secretary for the 2012–2017 tenure – delivered the closing speech, expressing deep gratitude for the close guidance and favorable support from the Company’s Party Committee, Management, and superior Youth Union. He also expressed the hope that in the new tenure, PV Gas South Youth Union would continue to receive comprehensive support from all levels of authority and the superior Youth Union.
The Congress concluded in an enthusiastic and determined spirit, reflecting the solidarity and aspirations of the youth members of the Company. PV Gas South Youth Union will remain united, striving to train, dedicate, innovate, and pioneer in building, promoting, and developing the Company’s brand ever stronger.
