CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) is natural gas compressed at a pressure of 200 to 250 bar at ambient temperature. Its main components are methane, ethane... making it an environmentally friendly fuel as it emits no SOx (soot), very little NOx, and significantly less CO₂ compared to coal and oil. CNG is highly safe due to its high octane rating (120), which prevents engine knocking. CNG is lighter than air, easily disperses into the atmosphere, and does not ignite easily, making it safe for storage and transportation.
According to Mr. Bui Van Quyen, representative of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the introduction of CNG into daily life is highly meaningful, as it not only benefits the environment but also brings economic advantages by reducing costs by 55%–57% compared to diesel.
