Joining hands with the nation to support Central Vietnam residents affected by floods, on October 25, 2016, the Southern Gas Trading Joint Stock Company sent a delegation to visit and present gifts to the people of Quang Binh Province. The delegation was led by Mr. Dao Huu Thang – Deputy Director of the Company.
In Quang Binh, on the afternoon of October 26, 2016, the delegation visited and expressed condolences to the family of Mr. Dinh Van Thuong in Tan Hoa Village, Hoa Hop Commune, Minh Hoa District, who had died after being swept away by floodwaters, and gave a gift worth VND 2 million. The team then proceeded to Tang Hoa Village in Hoa Son Commune, Minh Hoa District, where they visited and donated 120 gift packages worth VND 70 million to poor households heavily affected by flash floods that damaged crops and livestock.
Continuing the mission, on the morning of October 27, 2016, the delegation arrived at Minh Son and Khe Zet Villages in Quang Son Commune, Ba Don Town, donating 108 gift packages worth VND 54 million to families who had lost property due to rising floodwaters. They also visited Quang Hoa Secondary School in Ba Don Town and gave 103 gift packages worth VND 30,900,000 to 103 underprivileged students whose books and school supplies were swept away, helping them overcome difficulties and return to school.
Representatives from the Red Cross Society of Minh Hoa District, the leadership of Quang Hoa Secondary School, and local officials from the visited areas extended their gratitude to the Board of Directors and all employees of the Southern Gas Trading Joint Stock Company for their visits, donations, and heartfelt support for local residents suffering from the disaster.
